Secret Knitting

April 14, 2011 § Leave a Comment

It’s been quite a while since I’ve written about any of the knitting I’m doing– and now I’m test-knitting some really lovely lace in Findley. It’s been a dream to work with (that’s the 50% silk content!), and the colors– I’m working with Crocodile and Graphite– are so wonderfully original & luminous.

And, of course, I can’t show you any of it.

So I’ll just have to share with you the last thing I knit before I started working on the lace:

Baby’s Bootikin by Nancy Bush from Knitting Vintage Socks, worked on 0′s (I was supposed to use smaller, but, honestly, I don’t have anything smaller, and didn’t want to pay to go down .25mm in my needle size), in Knit Picks Palette in Marble Heather and Blue Note Heather (which are, incidentally, some of my two favorite colors out of the hundred).

Again, I don’t know anyone with a baby– although I know someone who’s suddenly got about 15 lambs on her hands!– but, life being what it is, I’m sure I will some day soon.
