Gentleman’s Plain Winter Socks

January 27, 2011 § 1 Comment

A deeply ribbed cuff (46 rounds!),

a swath of stocking stitch in the beautiful and complex Camel Heather,

a Dutch Heel,

gusset decreases,

and a round toe:

Nancy Bush’s Gentleman’s Plain Winter Sock, for a friend who has been promised a pair since this summer,

and who was good enough to send me a few shots of socks-in-action:

and who may or may not have been making a Star Trek joke about them ‘being used in an Enterprise Environment,” I’m not quite certain.
